Sharon Isbin, arguably the world's greatest living classical guitarist, never stops exploring sound. That may read like press release fodder, but it's true. Journey to the New World is a sprawling yet well-crafted and understated collection of British folk songs and lute works from Renaissance composer John Dowland. Among numerous highlights, Isbin is joined by one of her heroes, folk revival diva Joan Baez, on two folk standards: "Wayfaring Stranger" and "Go 'Way From My Window."
