The fourth full-length from these Buffalo-based metalcore jokers, The Big Dirty is one of the few metalcore releases you're ever gonna find that has a sense of humor. The other instances of said phenomenon can be found on Every Time I Die's other records. Thankfully, the levity does nothing to impede the intensity of the music; instead it brings some much needed comic relief to an often overly earnest scene. Unstoppably punishing, the album piledrives one riff after another while singer Keith Buckley delivers his lines with the requisite open-throated anger-management issues.
