Greg Brown

Greg Brown is a highly respected figure on the New Folk scene. And for good reason: his deep, inviting voice and exceptional songwriting talents are more than evident on the ten-plus solid records he's put out since 1983. He plays the sort of folk music that incorporates an array of American styles (most notably country and blues), and avoids alienating non-folk fans through a subtle but effective ability to insert hooks and wit into his songs.
