Ever since the debut of his silky "Songbird," Kenny G has provided the soundtrack to many a libidinous late night. There's something in his cooing tone that conjures candlelit evenings on the Upper East Side, and demands (after a couple decent glasses of chardonnay) that we slip into something a bit more comfortable. Thus, the sensuous pop standards on In the Mood for Love, including the Beatles' "Yesterday" and "Love Theme from Romeo & Juliet" make for a well-oiled collection that's tailor-made to weaken our knees. This is Mr. G's strong suit, and it really hits the spot.
