LCD Soundsystem's second single sounds all-Reich -- Steve Reich, that is. This hard-driving, seven-minute odyssey starts with out-of-phase pianos, a trademark of the minimalist composer. Those dueling keys come together with a sizzling snare-n-cymbal beat, hardwired bass, and electronic whip snap. It's dance-floor filler for the introspective, as band leader James Murphy waxes dramatic and bittersweet: we're losing life as we live it.
