Rad Gumbo: The Complete Warner Bros. Years 1971 To 1990 (Explicit) (Box Set)
Lowell George and Little Feat were one of the most popular Southern California Roots Rock bands in the 1970s and '80s. They were so skilled in their individual and collective musical craft that they often came across as a tightly disciplined and professional Country Rock outfit when, in fact, they were a bit erratic. Little Feat spanned the Roots Rock map, exploring various types of Blues Rock, Country Rock, and party-friendly Boogie Rock. Lowell George's almost Psychedelic approach to his trademark songwriting proved favorable among critics and musicians who formed the band's reliable cult following. The band split after George died of an overdose in 1979, only to reform in the later half of the 1980s. That Little Feat never regained the intangible and peculiar diagnostics that George brought to the table.
