Biography

Storming the party at the cutting edge of futuristic Electro-Funk, Kurtis Mantronik orchestrated beats and rhymes that have yet to meet their equal. Mantronix originally started as the duo of Mantronik and MC Tee, who fused Kraftwerk's dance-oriented techno pop with New York's emerging rap styles and R&B, Funk and Soul influences. His hybrid productions were simple, but massive; Mantronix: The Album features raps and heavy Vocoder that direct party people to the dance floor to experience hard grooves and raw samples that sound like battling cyborgs. Mantronix's productions became more complex over the years, evolving with changing hip-hop styles. He's mixed for artists such as EPMD, T. La Rock, Dr. Octagon, Duran Duran, Future Sound of London and countless others.
